๐ŸŽฌ Anamorphic Desqueeze & CinemaScope Guide

This page explains how to use the app to desqueeze anamorphic videos and images, apply cinematic LUT color grading, and export true CinemaScope content with professional accuracy.

KEY FEATURES

๐Ÿ“Œ How to Use the App

1. Select your media

Choose a video or image captured using an anamorphic lens. You can also select multiple files for batch processing.

2. Choose the correct desqueeze ratio

3. Preview and adjust

Use live preview to confirm proportions. Faces and circular objects should look natural.

4. Export

Select export quality (up to 4K where available) and export. Your desqueezed output will be saved to your device.

๐ŸŽž What is CinemaScope?

CinemaScope is a widescreen cinematic format commonly delivered in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio. It is widely used in feature films, OTT platforms, and professional productions.

Unlike standard 16:9 video, CinemaScope provides a wider field of view, better composition, and a true cinematic storytelling feel.

CinemaScope & anamorphic lenses

Anamorphic lenses squeeze the image horizontally during recording. After capture, footage must be desqueezed to restore correct proportions and reveal the CinemaScope look.

Important: Cropping a 16:9 video to look wide is not true CinemaScope. Proper desqueeze preserves resolution and cinematic optics.

๐ŸŽจ LUT Color Grading & Effects

Note: Always keep a backup of your files before LUT processing. LUTs may significantly alter colors depending on the LUT used.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Batch Processing

Batch mode allows you to apply the same desqueeze ratio and LUT settings to multiple videos or images in one workflow.

Best practice: test one file first, then process the full batch.
